The Hakutsuru system studied at JOHN COX MARTIAL ARTS was introduced to the America's in 1989 by Dr.Anthony (Tony) Sandoval, founder of the Sandoval Karate Kobudo Federation.
Hanshi Sandoval was the FIRST person to systemize the study of Hakutsuru in the United States.
Prior to Hanshi Sandoval's introduction of Hakutsuru to the Americas, Hakutsuru was never systemized in a format for formal learning. Hanshi Sandoval systemized Hakutsuru in a manner to formally learn the concepts,ideas and theories. The system is taught only in the America's Hakutsuru Training Centers.
Certified Instruction in the Internal and External Art of Hakutsuru is currently available at JOHN COX MARTIAL ARTS.
