WELCOME and INTRODUCTION
John Cox Martial Arts is a respected and nationally recognized family of serious Martial Artist. John Cox Martial Arts is honored to be an authorized training center in Kentucky for the Sandoval Karate Federation and the Universal Martial Arts Association.
Our doors are open to anyone with a sincere desire to preserve, protect and study the true and authentic Martial Arts. We are oathed and dedicated but not limited to, the research, analysis, preservation and protection of the Karate, Kobudo and the Hakutsuru (White Crane) Arts of Okinawa, Japan and China.
In addition to exploring the concepts, principles, techniques and fighting applications of these closely guarded arts, our teachings also focus on the history, men and cultures of the islands of which they were born. It is through these teachings and dedications that the once lost art of these original Arts can at last be found again!
In reading this you are lucky to be a potential member of a friendly and serious group which has chosen to practice one of the oldest, most authentic and sought after Martial Arts systems in the world today. Lucky because we are a low profile group of purist who insist on practicing the old traditional methods. We respect, but do not participate in or teach what has become the modern “Sport” versions of the arts so prevalent in the world today.
By seeking membership in the “John Cox Martial Arts” you can be assured that you will be instructed in a manner befitting such an esteemed and ancient system.
Consideration for acceptance into John Cox Martial Arts and the Sandoval Karate Federation is made by application for consideration. Not everyone who makes application is accepted.
